General Industrial Flooring has worked with General Contractors for over 30 years to deliver quality industrial flooring in their Colorado builds.

Reliable Flooring Subcontractor for 30 Years

General Industrial Flooring has worked with General Contractors since our humble beginnings in 1989. We handle projects large and small, with the experience to know what a GC needs and how we can help make a project successful.

At General Industrial Flooring, the majority of our projects come from general contractors. We’ve worked with GC’s since we started the business in 1989, and we’ve tackled projects of all types and sizes in those 30 years. We’ve worked with small, independent GCs and some of the largest GCs in the nation, many of them repeat clients. All that experience has made us experts in the needs and expectations of GCs and allows us to be great partners on any project. This is all to say, if you are a GC looking for a flooring subcontractor for your next project, at General Industrial Flooring, we understand your needs and how to meet them.

Long Standing Relationships

While we won’t turn down a one-time project or client, our goal is always to build a lasting relationship with our clients. We want our partners to come back to us time and again because they know they can count on us for reliable, quality work and a pleasant working relationship, and in most cases, that’s exactly what happens. We’ve developed long-term relationships with almost all of the GCs, project managers, supervisors and estimators we’ve worked with. Our repeat partners often cite the quality of our work and ease of working with us as the reason they seek us out on projects over and over again. We look forward to building the same relationships with anyone we haven’t yet worked with.

Deep Expertise

General Industrial Flooring has been in business since 1989, and some of our staff has been with us for over 30 years. We’ve seen a little bit of everything and performed nearly every kind of project. This deep industry experience helps us guide our GC partners on the best choices for their project, which pitfalls to avoid, and different considerations for cost, quality and longevity based on the floor’s application. We’ll call out when the wrong kind of floor or materials are specced, when the existing slab is unsuitable for installation, or when additional preparation is needed. We’ll share the risks posed by certain materials, timeframes, weather conditions, etc. that less experienced subcontractors will miss.

Fast Estimating

At General Industrial Flooring, we have in-house estimating and can perform our own take offs. We have dedicated staff as well as overlapping resources to ensure we get your project estimated quickly and accurately. In addition, we can almost always accommodate last minute projects that need a fast turnaround, in some cases producing a bid as quickly as the same day.

Exclusive Scheduling

Our goal is always to define an accurate timeline for each project and stick to it. Historically we have been excellent at delivering projects on time. Additionally, we will work with you to determine an appropriate start date and then block that time on our schedule. That means, as long as your schedule remains the same, we will guarantee that time block for you, no changes or delays. We’ll be there to complete our scope of work on time.

Construction is unpredictable and we understand that. Should your schedule change, we’ll work hard to make every reasonable accommodation and find a way to make the schedule work. One way or another, we always find a way to get the work done in a timeframe that works for you.

Commercial / Industrial Only

We don’t do residential work. No home garages, patios, driveways etc. We exclusively work on commercial and industrial projects. This singular focus allows us to deploy dedicated crews to our large projects instead of peeling off employees to keep up with small residential projects. This keeps our projects moving and keeps us on schedule. Similarly, we keep a dedicated inventory of high-quality, durable industrial flooring materials appropriate for the demanding commercial and industrial spaces where we work. We don’t stock lower quality residential-style products, so they’ll never be used on your projects.

Quality Obsessed

Our supervisors, foreman and installers have extensive experience in industrial flooring installation and always produce quality work. We have high standards for quality. Our new employees, regardless of prior experience, learn how to do the work our way, with substantial oversight and testing before they are allowed to apply any flooring materials or graduate onto the more intricate parts of the job. We know what we’re doing, and we care about doing a great job.

Accountable When Something Goes Wrong

In construction, issues pop up that need to be dealt with. Whether that’s a simple punch list item or an unexpected issue during the flooring installation, we have the necessary experience to fix problems along the way and get things back on track. We take accountability for issues that are our fault, and we work hard to make it right.

Appropriate Qualifications, Certifications, Clearances and Insurance

Working in commercial and industrial applications only, we carry the high-coverage commercial insurance demanded by large general contractors, including general liability insurance, commercial auto insurance, and an umbrella policy. We also have many materials certifications and can provide letters of recommendation from many materials reps when required. Additionally, we have the licenses and clearances to work on prevailing wage requirement jobs as well as city, state or federal projects.
